Class Experience

In this ongoing baking class, students will meet once a week and learn to bake something new! From chocolate chip cookies, to southern buttermilk biscuits, your child will learn all the ins and outs to baking the BEST desserts and savory treats you have ever had! We will cover some of the science behind baking, different elements that can completely make or break your food, and students will learn valuable cooking skills that they will use for the rest of their lives. I will be baking along side your children, showing them each step, and problem solving with them when things don't go as planned. Each week we will bake something that I have planned (a list is below), but students will have different opportunities to customize and change the recipes into something they love! This class will not only teach your child the basics of baking these delicious treats, but also how to change things up and experiment with ingredients. Students do not need to have prior baking knowledge, as they will learn as they go, but they should be able to operate kitchen equipment (oven, stovetop, electric mixers), or have a parent to help them during class.

Week 1: Homemade Fudgey Brownies and Homemade Cookies
Week 2: Homemade Caramel Macchiato Cupcakes and Homemade Icing (Flavors can vary. If you prefer chocolate or some other flavor, you're welcome to use that)
Week 4:Cheese Cake
Week 5: Apple Pie
Week 6: Red Velvet Cake
Week 7: Roll cake

*I will add more classes if needed. .
** Students are welcome to change the flavors and add in ingredients, such as changing the Caramel Cheesecake to chocolate, etc.
