Class Experience

In this one-time class, students will draw kawaii, or cute, halloween characters. 
After quick introductions, we will work on 3-5 characters. I will demonstrate beginning in pencil and as a group, we will work together, finishing them with marker and colored pencil as we go. 
As we work, we may discuss topics related to Halloween and our characters. Characters may include: cat, pumpkin, witch hat, paper bag trick-or-treater, vampire, cute ghost, and more. 
Students will be encouraged to share their progress, mistakes, and final products. Students may dress in their halloween costume if they wish but are not required.

Learning Goals

Artists will grow their confidence with this fun interactive class and get tips and tricks on how to create texture with colored-pencils and make the characters look 3D with shading.

Supply List

plain white paper, 
pencil, 
eraser,
 markers or colored pencils, 
black sharpie or bold black marker for outlines.

External Resources

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
