Description
Class Experience
Though Vassily Kandinsky is not the only originator of Abstract Art, his musically motivated methods and folk art inspirations speak directly to young people, in a way that allows room for depth and genuine comprehension of this work, and it’s value. We will focus on a few transcendental moments of Kandinsky’s life, including his perseverance and disciplinary approaches to a technique that is otherwise, very free form. We will make some modern - day connections to emojis and other simple...
This is a great course for abstract art comprehension, and anyone curious about interdisciplinary arts, or stretching creatively. The project guidelines are minimal, and learners are invited to let the music samples sway their works.
Any drawing or painting supplies !
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
A completed project and group discussion will solidify over all understanding as we find opportunities to relate our own lives to Kandinsky’s story and practice.
