This is a small group ongoing course for ESL/EFL learners aged 8 to 13 to practice speaking, reading, listening and writing in English while learning about a wide-range of fascinating topics with a TESOL Certified teacher.

This is an ongoing class to help ESL learners gain confidence and improve their ability to speak, read and comprehend English while learning about fascinating topics. This class provides an opportunity to connect with other fellow learners in a warm and friendly classroom environment and learn through interaction and play. At the beginning of each class students are invited to share a few things about themselves. I then introduce the topic, some target vocabulary and some sentence structure that we will practice and use throughout the lesson. Each week we have a different topic ranging from notable people, science, art, sports and music. Each lesson consists of learning vocabulary, reading, discussing the topic further and playing a game at the end of each class. The topics for our first 5 classes are as follows: 12/20/20 - Living In The City 12/27/20 - A World Of Music 01/03/21 - What's Cooking? 01/10/21 - Technology Of Yesteryear 01/17/21 - At the Airport If you do not see a time listed for this class that you are interested in, please message me with a few possible dates and times and I will do my best to offer a session that will work.

Hello, my name is Rob Ellsworth and I am an English teacher that strives to equip students with the necessary tools and understanding to excel in communication in English. Being able to speak and write well in English can make a big difference when growing up and I take pride in helping my students develop such abilities. It is always rewarding to see my students achieve their goals and reach their potential.
Up until now, I have been an English teacher for 14 years in both on-line and in-person settings. I'm a TESOL certified instructor with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Honours Political Science. Over my years of teaching I have worked as a full-time English instructor in both primary and secondary schools as well as in private after school programs. After living and working in China and Japan for 8 years I returned home to Canada, where I continue to teach private English classes in both in-person and on-line settings.
