Beginner Level
In this class, students will explore the solar system as they color, sing and complete online questions. The course is highly interactive and gives students opportunities to share their favourite planets as they learn vital facts about each element of the solar systems. Lesson Objectives: At the end of the class learners should be able to: 1. List all the planets in the solar system 2. Describe at least two unique facts about each plant 3. Explain why we have day, night and year. 4. Describe the role of the sun in the solar system 5. Appropriately color each planet 6. Create a model of their favorite planet Class Structure 1. Welcome and greeting by the teacher 2. Starter activity: Type the names of planets that you know on the screen. 3. Review starter activity 4. The teacher will then teach unique facts about each planet through music, animations and picture. As the teacher is doing this, students will be colouring their planets 5. Teacher will do a mini zoom quiz to help student remember key facts about each planet 6. Model Making Learners will interact through class discussions, online quizzes, model making and during class discussions. No experience is required for this class
