In this one time class, young chefs will create KY Hot Brown Sliders, a fun spin on a traditional KY Hot Brown. During this class we will start with a short introduction of the learners. We will review the recipe, cover materials and ingredients, then dive into the recipe. This class will be for a student who is very comfortable in the kitchen, we will be baking, sautéing, chopping, and working with hot items frequently. During this class I will be actively demonstrating and preparing ingredients along with the learners. Depending on time left at the end of class we may have a few minutes to socialize. This class is for a learner who is comfortable in the kitchen using sharp knives, working around heat, and juggling multiple tasks at once.
Learning Goals
We will learn how to prepare sliders, sauces, sauté, and juggle multiple tasks at one time.

Parental Guidance may be required for some learners, as we will be using hot equipment, knives, and multiple cooking processes.

King’s Hawaiian sweet rolls 1/2 cup mayonnaise 1 Tablespoon Dijon Mustard 12 slices deli turkey 12 slices COOKED bacon 6 slices Gruyere or Provolone cheese ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese 3 Roma Tomatoes 1 stick butter 1/2 small yellow onion 2 Tablespoons brown sugar 1 ½ teaspoons Worcestershire sauce ¼ teaspoon garlic powder Materials: Chef's knife, cutting board, aluminum foil, nonstick cooking spray, small skillet, oven mitts, cooling rack or trivet, small bowl, rubber spatula, 13x9 baking dish
