This 4-week course will build on the Japanese skills learned in “Japanese for Beginners: Part I” with new phrases and vocabulary. We will also continue to incorporate fun facts about Japanese culture. Remember, this course focuses on speaking and listening language skills. The topics to be covered each week are as follows: Week 1: Mealtime Manners Week 2: Daily Life: At Home Week 3: Daily Life: At School Week 4: Daily Life: Shopping When learning a language, even more important than hearing a word is using it! We will practice basic words and phrases by both listening to and using them. Students will practice by roleplaying together and participating in verbal pop quizzes throughout the class. At the end of each class, students will receive an electronic (printable) handout reviewing all the terms we learned for that lesson. I cater my classes to the needs and understanding of each group of students. There will be plentiful interaction. Comments and questions are always welcome in my classroom.
