This is a more intense class than the Sakura class. While we still operate within the "new beginner" model; the coursework is more demanding with more complex content taught. Graduating from Sakura or testing into Take is required.

I teach four levels of Japanese at a high school level. I previously lived in Japan for 10 years where I taught English. I also helped fellow foreigners learn Japanese over there as well as was an orientation staff member for those who newly arrived in Japan. I have 5 years of formal Japanese learning experience.
Homework Offered
Worksheets will be given out to students to be completed for the next class. Hiragana packets will be given out but won't be assessed. Students can learn the Hiragana since Matsu (the next level after Take) utilizes Hiragana greatly.

I am a Japanese teacher at a high school in America. This three courses are, more or less, two weeks of what we do in class condensed. This is a curriculum devised myself.
