This course is designed to give students who completed Sakura Class and Take Class the tools to succeed and become truly profiecient in Japanese. The aim is to get them ready for a potential career in the language. In this course, stduents will ecnouter complex gramamr structures that lies within the Intermediate territory. In addition, they will also be expected to utilize Hiragana and Katakana to a certain extent as Kanji will be used in this course. They will be responsible for learning kanji. Having been enrolled in Japanese 1 on 1: Susuki Class will help them get ready for this course.

Matsu or "pine tree" in Japanese is important in this class as the matsu is seen as a wisened and cherished tree that is viewed all-year round. Often, supports are used to hold up matsu's lofty branches since many of the trees are quite old. Much like the matsu tree, you too have become wisened in your Japanese knowledge but you still continue to grow. In order to grow though, you need to continue study and what you learn is the support you will need to see it through. You have become a wisened tree after growing up like a take which came after you blossomed from a sakura. Truly quite the transition!
