Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was a true child prodigy. He could play tunes on the piano at the age of 3, composed his first piece of music at the age of 5, had his first piece published at the age of 7, and wrote his first opera at the age of 12. Mozart wrote over 600 pieces of music which is amazing because he only lived to the age of 35. You may already be familiar with some of Mozart's compositions. Come join our class and learn about Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, widely considered to be one of the greatest composers of all time. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. Learning Goals
Students will learn about the life of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and we will discuss and listen to excerpts of some of his musical creations. We will discuss the time period Mozart lived and learn a few musical vocabulary words pertaining to different genres of music.
