Each week in this ongoing class, students will work with the teacher and in a small group to practice common paragraph styles such as problem-solution, description, cause and effect and sequence. 

You are welcome to join any week that interests you or stay with us for several weeks to gain a broader understanding of the paragraph writing. 

Below is a list of topics that we will review for several weeks.  That list will continuously be updated so you know what we will be focusing on and choose classes that most interest you.

⇢ Week of April 19: Cause and Effect Paragraph Writing 

⇢ Week of April 26: Sequence Paragraph Writing 

During Class: In a comfortable and interactive, small group setting, the teacher will welcome students with a quick get-to-know-you activity. Then the teacher will give instruction on the topic of the week. The teacher will model the paragraph structure of the week by showing students strong examples essays and non-examples.  The teacher will then lead students through guided practice activities so students feel confident in the skill being practiced.  The teacher will then provide small group and individual help to students as they work on their own paragraph writing.
