Spring Semester series of 10 classes. Italian level classes for the school semesters have 10 levels. Classes in this program are equivalent to Level 3 and recommended to learners already familiar with the basic language or Level 1 and the Level 2. Specifically, these classes are for students with good beginner Italian knowledge (such as greetings, alphabet, numbers, present tense of "to be, to have, verbs in -are, -ere, -ire", basic pronouns, adjectives and conjunctions, modal verbs , present perfect and past participle) willing to go to the next level. It includes a series of classes that includes elements of the language, grammar, learning vocabulary and conversation. Students will practice and review a variety of topics included in Level 1 and 2 and will also learn: Imperative Tens/Mood, Italian Indicative Imperfect Tense and the Conditional Tense. WEEKLY CLASS PROGRAM: Class 1 - Week 1: Review of Level 1 verbs. How to describe the family. Reading/ Writing/Speaking practice. Class 2 - Week 2: Review of :Level 1 irregular verbs. How to describe clothing. Reading/ Writing/Speaking practice. Class 3 - Week 3: Review of articles, pronouns and adjectives. Imperative Tense/Mood. Class 4 - Week 4: Review of be+ gerund form. Imperative Tense/Mood practice. Class 5 - Week 5: Review of Level 2 Irregular Verbs: to know and Modal Verbs: must. Class 6 - Week 6: Review of Level 2 Present Perfect. Reading/ Writing/Speaking practice. Class 7 - Week 7: Review of Level 2 Past Participle . Reading/ Writing/Speaking practice. Class 8 - Week 8: Review of Irregular Adjectives and Pronouns. Talk about animals. Italian Indicative Imperfect Tense Class 9 - Week 9: Review of Level 2 Irregular Past Participle. Italian Indicative Imperfect Tense practice. Class 10 - Week 10: Other forms of verb "to go". Conditional Tense. Classes include grammar instruction, as well as basic conversation and activities. As students progress, they read short stories and listen to recorded materials and/or videos. A whiteboard will be used and shared digitally to the classroom for students to learn and review. Learning Goals
The goal of this class is to continue learning the Italian language. Objective is to help students develop a stronger familiarity and comfort level with speaking and understanding the Italian language.
