Class Experience

In this 4 day course (twice a week for 2 weeks), we will read through an 11 page story, learn a song, and do some crafts.

Day 1-2: We will read through an eleven page story together from Twinkl that you can print off to have your own copy. It discusses what Christmas is for many people-- those who celebrate it, those who don't , those who like to decorate, and spending time with friends/ family. Reading this will help learn new words and gain confidence in reading in Italiano.

We will also make 1-2 crafts during days 1-2. Crafts and anything you need for it will be posted in the classroom.

Day 3-4: We will learn a Christmas song in Italian, specifically focusing on L'albero di Natale/ Oh albero (Oh Christmas Tree). Learning a popular Christmas tune will help students to learn the song faster and have fun learning Italian too.

We'll do another craft during Day 3-4.

I believe that taking foreign language classes opens the doors to many opportunities. In high school, I took Spanish, and at university, I took up through Intermediate level in Italian. I now give students the opportunity to learn Italian language by making it fun and engaging through my teaching style, print offs, and Quizlets games. I have been teaching basic through intermediate Italian courses for over 3 years involving basic conversation skills, grammar (present indicative, passato prossimo, conjugating verbs with pronouns, adjectives reflecting the correct the-- as there are 7 the's in Italian, and more), as well as vocabulary and fairytale reading classes to make the language to come to life in a fun way.
