Class Experience

Students will learn the parts of the violin, how to take care of the violin, how to hold the bow and the instrument, and practice playing open strings.
Hi, I'm Meghan! I've been playing the violin for over 20 years and have both my bachelor's and master's degrees in Violin Performance. I've been teaching for about 8 years and am a Suzuki trained teacher.
There will be no homework.
Students must have a violin. These can be rented at a local music store for a very affordable rate (around $25-$40 per month).
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Parental guidance is suggested. Parents may need to adjust the student's posture.
