US Grade 11 - 12
In our one-time course, students will receive a general overview of the UC Personal Insight Questions (PIQs). Students will learn what PIQs are, what the UCs looks for, and how to construct effective yet compelling essays that showcase students' experiences, interests, and strengths. Led by an experienced college admissions consultant, students will have the chance to review successful UC applications and discuss tips for drafting stand-out PIQs. This one-time class is a great opportunity to kick-start a students' admission process and get them thinking about their college writing. Please note that while this class is an awesome chance to learn about the UCs and the admission process, we will not draft or brainstorm in class. Per Outschool's safety and privacy policy, students cannot share personal stories or experiences for the protection of our learners. At the end of our class, I will provide students with brainstorming questions that they can reference and consider independently AFTER the class has ended. If your student would like to brainstorm, discuss, or draft one-on-one, you may schedule a separate meeting.
Learning Goals
Gain a better understanding of the UC Personal Insight Questions.
