Does your child love worlds of fantasy and magic? Are they constantly playing video games? Have they ever wished that they could fully immerse themselves in the worlds of the games they play? Good news! In this class, students will learn about Tiny Dungeon - a fantastic, rules-lite tabletop rpg in a system that's easy to adapt to any game genre you can think of! Tiny Dungeon has a small focus on mechanics and a big focus on imagination! (It's a great alternative to Dungeons & Dragons for kids who are interested in an easy introduction to tabletop gaming but intimidated by huge rulebooks!)
In this class, students will learn the basic rules of Tiny Dungeon from an experienced player and Game Master!
They'll get off the couch and into their imaginations as we put away the game consoles and experience a world of adventure where they can engage and explore like never before! Tabletop gaming helps enhance social-emotional, creative thinking, problem-solving, mathematics, and public speaking skills, and will connect children with others who have similar interests!
In this class, we will discuss gameplay basics such as heritages, traits, tests and saves, combat options, and more!
By the end of class, each student will create their own player character and be ready to hop right into their own Tiny Dungeon campaign! Will you be a Goblin treasure hunter? Perhaps a Dwarven blacksmith or Elven hunter? Maybe even a Karhu - intelligent, lumbering bears who wander the world as adventures! You can be the hero you've always dreamed of!
This introduction class is highly recommended before joining one of my Tiny Dungeon campaign classes, as it provides a solid foundation of game knowledge and a ready-to-go character that can be used to hop right into the action!
