Introduction to Physics for High School
In this three-week online course, students will learn fundamental concepts of physics including Newton's Laws, principles of energy, and more, through interactive lessons and personalised instruction.
What's included
3 live meetings
3 in-class hoursHomework
1 hour per week. Students will get one piece of homework weekly and this will be marked at the start of the next week's class. It is recommended that all students complete the homework set, however, if students are not able to complete the week's homework, it will not affect their ability to join the lesson.Class Experience
US Grade 8 - 10
Beginner - Intermediate Level
In this course, students will cover foundational topics including Newton's Laws and principles of energy, work, and power. Week 1: Students will be introduced to the concept of forces and gain an understanding of Newton's three laws of motion. Week 2: Focus shifts to Newton's second law of motion, with students engaging in calculations to grasp the relationship between force, mass, and acceleration. Week 3: The final week delves into types of energy, work, and power, providing students with insights into various forms of energy and their practical applications. My class structure emphasises interactive discussions, videos, demonstrations, and targeted questioning to facilitate learning. Students will have opportunities to engage with both the instructor and their peers through collaborative activities and discussions. Student-centered learning is prioritised in each lesson, offering differentiated tasks and personalised instruction to accommodate diverse learning styles.
