Supply List
Please scroll down below the list for an explanation of the supplies. These supplies are NOT required, and I have included an explanation of the tools I have put on this list and what they will be used for.

Dumbbells
Resistance bands
Mat
Blood Pressure Monitor
Heart Rate Monitor
Kitchen Scale or Bathroom Scale

Although not required, it would be helpful for students to have access to gym equipment either at home or at a local facility. Dumbbells, mats, resistance bands, etc can be used to practice the skills that will be discussed during the course.

Learners will be learning about blood pressure during Lesson 9, and there will be an opportunity in the homework to take their blood pressure and/or family member's blood pressure during different times of day. There are several options for arm cuffs or wrist cuffs on Amazon for less than $20 should you wish to purchase one. Wrist cuffs tend to be less accurate than arm cuffs, but either one is fine for this course.

We will also be discussing heart rate. If you have access to a heart rate monitor such as an apple watch, you can use that for the homework during that lesson. You can also purchase an inexpensive fingertip heart rate monitor. These can be found on Amazon for under $20. A monitor is not necessary, but it is helpful to compare to the rate the student gets when taking their blood pressure manually.

The kitchen scale or bathroom scale will be used to compare the weights of objects to better understand the misnomer "muscle weighs more than fat".
