1 in-class hoursClass Experience
Are you interested in jewelry? Do you love to wear sparkly things to show off your unique personality? If so, then this is the class for you! In this one time class, we will learn how to design a simple bracelet using elastic and beads of your choice. I will provide learners with step-by-step instructions, and will create my own bracelet to model the techniques used during class. Time permitting, we can add a jump ring, with a charm, to our bracelet. The only prior experience necessary would be that learners know how to tie a knot in order to secure their bracelet.

Parental Guidance
It helps to secure the elastic with a drop of Crazy Glue. Parental help may be required at this step.
We will need to cut the elastic close to the knot, so the scissors the learner uses will need to have a fine point.
Supply List
Learners will need: Stretch Magic elastic. It comes in different widths (measured in millimeters), so it will depend on the size of the whole in your beads. Beads. Plastic, metal, glass, or wood. Most bead packages provide the width of the hole to help pick the proper elastic. (measured in millimeters) Scissors with fine point. Parental assistance may be necessary. Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello there!
My name is Kathy and I have been a certified science teacher the last 20 years! My favorite classes to teach are any that have to do with the ocean, and its inhabitants. I have a degree in Marine Biology, am a certified SCUBA diver, have taught aquatic summer camps at a local aquarium, and have volunteered for multiple aquariums and rescue groups.
I also love to craft...in particular, to create things with my Cricut. I also have a degree in Fashion Design and love to sew. I look forward to adding classes that focus on each of these passions.
As a teacher, I often notice students lacking the technology skills needed to be successful in the classroom. I will also offer classes on how to use programs such as Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and a variety of other applications often used.
I really look forward to meeting you!
