This 8-week course students will learn how to present a school appropriate topic to their classmates. The students will learn the three main parts of an informative speech, consisting of an introduction, a body and a conclusion.

Beginner Level
Informative Speech Students will write and present a speech to present to their classmates. The three goals are accuracy, clarity and keeping their classmates interest. Each speech will include an introduction, body, and conclusion. In addition students will learn to be good listeners to their classmates speeches and be able to give positive and helpful feedback. Mrs. Obermaier has a BA in Communication Studies and is certified in middle school language arts and high school English.
Homework Offered
Students will need to do approximately 2 hours of homework a week in order to research their topic and prepare their speech including visuals.1 - 2 hours per week outside of class
