Description
Class Experience
Hieroglyphs, heiratic, demotic, oh my! In this one-time course, you will learn about the ways the ancient Egyptians wrote their language. This class will mainly focus on the hieroglyphic alphabetic signs and determinatives, but other scripts will be discussed in comparison. By the end of this informative, interactive hour, each student will know how to write their name in hieroglyphics and will be able to explain the difference between different types of hieroglyphs. Ms. Bender holds a MA in Egyptology from the University of Toronto and has experience teaching ESL, as well as tutoring a variety of topics. She knows how to make things fun while facilitating learning in her unique, personalized style.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
