In this ongoing class, I will be teaching Hebrew language for beginners through songs, stories, drawings, and games. No prior knowledge is required.
Class Experience
In this ongoing weekly class, children will learn the foundations of the Hebrew language by listening to simple phrases and words, Hebrew songs, and stories as well as drawing while learning Hebrew vocabulary. I will use simple finger play, songs and stories the children may already be familiar with in English and change a few words into Hebrew to make learning new words easy and accessible. This class is taught in English.
- Children will hear stories and songs in Hebrew from familiar English songs and learn new vocabulary in Hebrew.
- Children may practice using their own voice to say/sing basic and simple Hebrew words.
- Children will become familiar with some Hebrew vocabulary words.
I have 17+ years teaching experience in primary schools in Australia. I began studying Hebrew over 40 years ago, in America, and have lived in Israel altogether for over 3 years studying on Ulpan and working on kibbutzim. I have taught Hebrew in a private school in Brisbane, Australia.
Some classes will involve drawing so paper and colored pens or pencils is always welcome.
