Class experience
REFUND POLICY: Hub of Curiosity wants parents and caregivers to be able to enroll in our classes with peace of mind. We are busy parents as well and understand that life happens! The refund policy for Hub of Curiosity classes is as follows: Semester-length co-ops are fully refundable until 30 days prior to the start of class. Learners will begin to form a comfortable connection with a fountain pen and begin vowel practice to build their French calligraphy skills. Julie-Anna also teaches a weekly French calligraphy class during the traditional school year calendar. If learners would like to build on the skills they learn in this camp, they’ll have an opportunity to do so during the ongoing class.
Julie-Anna was raised by her French mother and American father in France, Luxembourg, and the U.S.A with her 4 siblings. She spent several years in the French school system as a child, where she was taught the French cursive style with fountain pens (stylo plume), and learned to speak French fluently. Fountain pens are her go-to writing tool to this day. She is a former music teacher, and currently homeschools her three children in a trilingual home. Julie-Anna holds a B.A. and a Level-5 TEFL certification. Julie-Anna has experience working with children between the ages of 3 and 18 years of age, as well as a variety of neurotypes. She has worked as a ghost writer, copyeditor, and proofreader. She loves the written word. Books were her first and lasting love and she never leaves home without a book, a journal, and a beautiful fountain pen. Some of her favorite authors are C.S. Lewis, Jane Austen, and Charles Dickens.
