Introduction to Cursive Writing ( Multi Sensory for Students With Dyslexia)

This is a multi-sensory, direct modeling, and sequential way of learning cursive. It follows the Wilson reading program ( which is used for students with dyslexia and dysgraphia.  I will begin with lowercase letters of the alphabet l, e, h, b, f, k (which we call loop letters), then move to up/down letters, 2 O'clock letters, and hump letters. Next the Uppercase letters of the alphabet will be introduced sequentially. Students will learn to write the letters in isolation and then within sentences.  We will have discussions, write funny and engaging sentences, and students will be able to practice on my digital whiteboard.

November 25, 2022 Week 5 Review previous letters by writing words and learn how to write r and s. 

December 2, 2022 Week 6 Review previous letters by writing words and learn how to write lowercase u, w, and t

December 9, 2022 Week 7 Review previous letters by writing words and learn how to write lowercase letters c, a, and 0. 

We will continue to review previous letters and introduce new letters until all of the lowercase and upper case letters have been taught.
