Class Experience

Welcome friends to Friendship Haven Online Learning!

In this 1 week introductory class, students will learn the basic crocheting skills, stitching and how to read a pattern. By the end of the 3 day course, learners will have obtained these above skills and have the confidence to complete basic crocheting projects on their own!

In the first class, learners will go over required materials to ensure everything needed is there. Next we will go over a pattern and discuss what learners will need to identify in the pattern to complete the project. We will then begin by learning how to start your slip knot, first stitch and chain!

In the second class, learners will be taught basic, common stitches to incorporate into their work. We will finish out the reminder of the class by practicing the stitches and skills we've gone over in this class and the first class.

In our final class, we will learn the last common stitch and review any questions learners have about what things each learner may need help with if they feel comfortable asking within class!

Materials required for this class are listed below!

Thank you for taking the time to read this to ensure I have the expertise needed to teach your learners how to crochet. I have been crocheting myself since I was 7 years old, taught by my mom and aunt. A family craft that most everyone has practiced for many years. I have completed many projects starting myself doing dish clothes and completing shirts, table runners and winter head bands. My hope is to give your learner the skills and confidence to take the projects as big as they wish to take themselves.
