Introduction to Creative Photography Summer Camp!
In this six week summer camp students will join a professional photographer to learn the basics of digital photography and embrace their creativity. DSLR cameras are recommended but any camera/smartphone is welcome.

1-2 hours per week. Weekly challenges will be provided to allow students an engaging way to explore important photography concepts and embrace their creativity. Students will submit their assignments for a private critique prior to the next class.Assessment

Join a professional photographer, in this six week introduction to creative photography camp where students will be introduced to important concepts and rules of photography, including concepts, such as aperture, shutter speed, composition, and the importance of lighting. It is recommended that students have the ability to use a DSLR camera for this class, but students using a point and shoot or smartphone camera are welcome as well! Students will participate in weekly challenges that enable them to explore photography in thought-provoking and creative ways. The goal of each challenge is to not only teach students about the rules and important concepts of photography, but to enable them to look through a lens in a creative way to produce art that they are truly proud of. Students will present their weekly photographs for a private critique before the following class, photographs will be shared with the class for discussion in which negativity will not be tolerated. Supply List
Students will need access to a camera, while DSLR cameras are recommended they are not required. Students using a point and shoot camera or smart phone camera are also welcome to dive into this Introduction to Creative Photography Camp.
