Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello families!
I have a Bachelors Degree with heavy concentration in Educational Psychology and Childhood Education. I have a Masters Degree in Information Systems. I attended a Vocational School and studied Technology for three years. For the past few years, I work at after school programs creating curriculum and teaching. Currently, I teach Technology, Engineering and Science to Elementary and Middle School students for various NYC after school programs. Working for after school programs allow me to home school my son during the day and also bring him to work! I love it! :)
What do I teach? Exploration, creation, use, modification and repair of Computers Hardware and Software (including MS Office and video games), Coding, Psychology, Cooking, Holistic Science and Engineering Robotics (Ardruino, LEGO EV3 and more).
My grandfather was my idol and an all around genius. I'm no genius , but I have dedicated hard work to learning all the things I saw him do for many, many years. I can teach the fun of learning from your mistakes as well how to appreciate even small victories in learning! So not only can I teach various Sciences, but I can also model dedication after failure! : ) Don't give up! If it's important to you, keep at it! You can do it!
