*The class starts with warm-up exercises like in a real theater class. These include relaxing breathing, producing sounds (projection and phonetics), and body movement (as permitted in a virtual class). *We introduce topics that create a foundation for performing (acting methods, performing for different mediums - stage or camera, exploring your creative mind). *We play improv and creative games (group games and role-play of popular improv games like, "Yes, and..." and memorization...
The students will learn: - How actors prepare; - What is the job of an actor; - How to explore and evolve their artistic passion; - be familiar with the basics of acting: improv and dramatic methods.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Feedback is given when requested. The student or parent may request an individual report of the student's potential as well as their progress in class. In case of an assessment, the teacher will suggest other activities for the students to explore.
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 2 - 4 hours per week outside of class.
We invite students to access our available scripts via Google Classroom (OPTIONAL). If the student cannot access Google Classroom, we will select and email them the scripts. All of the scripts are age-appropriate.
