Introduction Entrepreneurship for Middle Schoolers
Students systematically go through the process of starting a business from ideation, market research to brand building and sales. This immersive experience fosters creativity a passion for entrepreneurship preparing them for real world.

1-2 hours per week. Each student will be asked before the class to come up with an idea based on a problem they want to solve and present it to the rest of the class.Assessment
We will provide an assessment of how the child participated in the class. We will also provide subjective feedback on any traits of the child that stand out.Class Experience

Beginner Level
In this introduction to Entrepreneurship class, the students will learn the concepts behind being an entrepreneur. They will learn how businesses are started, how market research is done to determine whether the problem they are solving for is relevant to their potential customers, create a business plan, pitch this idea to investors to help raise money, develop a brand to connect with customers, market and sell their product or service, and learn about how to think about exiting from any business in the right time and manner. The class will be a combination of slides and videos interspersed with real world examples and a lot of interactive discussion between students and the teacher. The class will challenge the students critical thinking and help them understand why businesses make certain decisions, and how some businesses succeed and some fail.
Learning Goals
The Student will learn the different steps in creating a business from Ideation, Market Research, Business plan creation, fund raising, brand development, marketing and sales to exiting at the right time and manner.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I have an MBA from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley. I have 24+ years of experience as an executive in the telecom industry and have started and exited from numerous startups. I have been running the extended intro to entrepreneurship class from my home studio and the shorter 3 hour class online.
