In this course, students will learn simple introductory phrases in Spanish. We will cover how to introduce themselves in Spanish, how to pronounce the words correctly. During this class we will also learn colors, and numbers (1-10). The simple phrases that will be introduce in this class will be (My name is _______./ Mi nombre es______.)/(I am_______ years old./ Yo tengo ________.)/(My favorite Color is_______./Mi color favorito es_____.)/ (My best friend is ______./ Mi mejor amigo es____.). Throughout our class we will be conversing to improve their Spanish Speaking skills. These are simple yet effective ways to communicate in Spanish. It is basically an About me Class in Spanish. Throughout the class all students will participate and write down what they are saying in an already made worksheet that they will get to color and write on during class. They will be able to introduce themselves with one another and say what type of books they like, colors, best friend, favorite movie and on. As a teacher, I want to make their experience of learning another language fun, and exciting. This might be their first class in Spanish and I would like to Spark their interest by making class fun. I am a fun teacher who is patient and wants to make this an enjoyable class for my students. Students are not required to know Spanish since we will learn the Basics in this class. But they are required to have a pencil, crayons, paper, and erasers for this class.

A worksheet will be provided for your student to print out and bring to class. Although those worksheets are not necessary in class they will be done for homework.

Hello my name is Jessica. I am a USA teacher. The kind of classes that I will be teaching here in Outschool are English (grammar, and phonics), Math, Spanish, Nutrition (I have a certificate) and Life skills such as Building Self Confidence. I have worked with many students throughout my 12 years of experience. I used to tutor Math in High School and I fell in love with teaching. Soon after I went to College and I started to tutor Math, Spanish and English at the University level. During College I used to work at an After School program facility where I would Mentor, tutor and Coach students from Kinder-5th grade. Through my experience I learn that I have so much patience and love to teach. When I graduated with my Bachelors degree, I went on and started to tutor privately students from Elementary- High School. Soon, I started to work at a High School teaching Math, and tutoring English. Through my experience working at a High School, I notice that there was a demand in students wanting to build their Self Confidence. I went to school and received a certificate on how to build Self Confidence and I would love to teach it. I also noticed that some of my High School students did not know the nutritional values of some of the foods they were eating. I went ahead and got my nutrition certificate, which I also would like to utilize in order for students to learn the different vitamins there are in this world and what foods have those vitamins. It would be interesting to learn that a lot of foods that we already have at home contain many nutrients, minerals and vitamins. My values as a teacher is to make the class environment fun, to be there for my students and teach them skills that they can take to college. With my younger students, I am also fun, engaging and outgoing. I love to use realia, puppets and use different voices to catch my students' attention. What I love to also do is on the side I crochet, play Soccer, and have fun with my children. I live in Florida, but I am from Southern California. I know that change is big but I love it here. I enjoy teaching and would love to be your child's next teacher.Reviews
