In this course you will learn how Hollywood turns ideas into a feature films. A lot goes into screenwriting before a script is even written. Students will learn how to format their own ideas into a story that is compelling and legible to the listener or viewer. Students will learn what a Three act movie structure is and how it applies to their favorite movies. Students will learn how to write a logline.
I am a professional screenwriter, for television and feature films and have been writing for the last 3 years in the industry. Currently I am a staff writer on a Sitcom television program being pitched to ABC.
We will be using movies that are mostly rated G - PG-`13 but it is possible that a student may mention a movie that is Rated R such as the Matrix, or Deadpool.
