Students will learn the basics of how to research and be introduced to finding sources, taking notes, writing a paper and how to create a works cited. 

History was my minor in college. Writing research papers was a big part of the course load. I took several research classes where I learned how to write research papers on a variety of topics. 

Homework Offered
Each week students will be assigned homework to complete for the following week.  There will also be a discussion prompt on flipgrid each week.
Week 1: The assignment this week is to pick an animal and to find 2-3 sources to research.
Week 2: Students will take notes from their sources. 
Week 3: Students will write their paper.
Week 4: Final paper and a presentation are due (presentations will be recorded and posted in our discussion group on Flipgrid).
2 - 4 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Final papers will be submitted to the teacher and graded on a rubric that will be provided during class.
