This is an introduction class to percentages students will be able to describe and define what a percentage is. Class will be taught with a basic structure of introduction, work together, and show me what you know. In this whole brain approach to teaching we will use hand movements and echo-repeat to help retain newly learned information. This simple, fun and focused method will engage learners with direct instruction that is easily retained. They will be expected to participate during class for optimal learning! Students should know and understand fractions (parts of a whole) prior to taking this course. Prior experience with decimals is helpful, but not required.

White board and dry erase marker OR paper and pencil will be useful supplies for this course.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
