Are you looking for a fun, interactive way to teach your young child the basics of math? Look no further! This class will offer the basics of mathematics in a fun, eye-opening way. I have been tutoring mathematics since 2014. In this class we will make a number line project in class. I will show how to use a number line. We will work on some simple addition and subtraction problems and learn to solve them using a number line with birds and other cute animals. If time allows we will also play...
Students will learn what a number line is and how to use it to add or subtract objects. They will make a project in class that they can color and use for future math problems.
I have been a math tutor since 2014. I have a degree in Child Development so I understand how a child thinks and their attention span, especially towards a tougher subject, such as math. I try to make it as fun and educational as I can. I have taught over 1500 online classes on various platforms.
Homework Offered
We will do most of the projects in class. The student will need paper and a pencil, or a whiteboard. I will ask you to print off some items before class starts so we can cut them out/color them during class. There will be a few extra math equations I will send home for extra practice.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
This class moves in stages. We will review the numbers 1-10, then make our number line, then begin to solve equations. The learners will be assessed in each stage to check for comprehension and understanding.Grades Offered
The student will be asked to print out a few work pages before the start of class. If a printer is not available, you are welcome to draw it by hand. Scissors Crayons Pencil/paper OR whiteboard
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
The student may need some help cutting out their items before the start of class if they are not allowed to use scissors on their own.
