What will be taught in this course is an introduction to music theory, notes, rests and rhythms that is necessary to know to be able to play any instrument. The topics that will be covered are music theory terms and definitions, what are notes, rests, symbols and there ir durations, how to count notes and rests when reading music and creating rhythms. My class is structured by building on each lesson concept each week. We will learn terms and definitions, names of symbols and learn how each note and rest work together to create music. I will teach by visually showing the musical symbols and how they work in conjunction with each other to create rhythms in music. Students will be able to follow along, take notes and ask and answer questions for clarification. I will also give students small “in class” assignments through paper and pencil or Google Slides where they can show their understanding of concepts being taught. We will also play review Kahoot review games to help further understanding.
