** I am opening up a few new spots and will also be offering classes on Thursdays from November 2024! I live in Australia so my time zone works well for students in North America and Asia, specifically Korea and Japan. Please reach out for availability or if you have any questions at all regarding these classes. **

🌈 This is an ongoing class offering individual tuition for intermediate to advanced ESL students as we develop conversational skills in English, focusing on a variety of topics to encourage progression in fluency, grammar, and vocabulary skills.

🌈 Our sessions will be personalized to support the attainment of students’ individual academic goals.

🌈 In my experience, regular opportunity for “free chat” or conversation is tremendously beneficial for ESL students. Frequent areas for improvement include sentence structure, subject-verb agreement, consistency in tenses, use of definite and indefinite articles, word order, and vocabulary expansion. Once students begin to talk about a topic of interest to them, they often forget they are learning! It’s fantastic to see their growth in confidence and ability as they develop their speaking skills, which of course translate to immense benefit in the formal academic setting.

🌈 Themes for the first four weeks include, but are not limited to:
Week 1: Introducing ourselves, describing our families and respective places of origin.
Week 2: Talking about our hobbies and what we like to do for leisure time.
Week 3: Comparing and contrasting traditions we celebrate during the year.
Week 4: Discussing our dreams and ambitions, for the near and distant future.

🌈 My teaching style supports a positive and supportive environment, where we can have fun through learning. We always learn best when relaxed and engaged, and I endeavor to facilitate classes that encourage this.

** Please reach out for session availability or if you have any questions at all regarding these sessions. I look forward to seeing your child in class and working with them! **
