Intermediate Spanish Immersion Class 1
Join this fun immersion Spanish class and improve your Spanish speaking skills. Please note this is an immersion class where students will only speak Spanish.
This class is taught only in Spanish and it requires students to have conversations in Spanish, to give their own opinion about different topics such as social media, past vacation.
Most students have been to immersion programmes for years or have lived in a Spanish country and therefore they can have a conversation in Spanish.
If you would like to enrol, you must have between B1 and B2 Level as this class is focused on a variety of Spanish activities to improve vocabulary and fluency.
These are the descriptions of levels:
B1
A language learner can:
Understand points regarding family, work, school or leisure-related topics.
Deal with most travel situations in areas where the language is spoken.
Create simple texts on topics of personal interest.
Describe experiences, events, dreams, and ambitions, as well as opinions or plans in brief.
B2 Level
Students can understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar matters regularly encountered in school, leisure, etc. As well you can deal with most situations likely to arise whilst travelling in an area where the language is spoken.
Furthermore, you can produce simple connected text on familiar topics. And finally, you can describe experiences and events, hopes and ambitions and briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans.

If you have answered without a dictionary then this class is suitable for you. This class is designed for students who have already been to immersion courses and would like to develop their existing Spanish skills by using different real-life scenarios, role-plays and fun games. At the end of this course, students will be able to speak with ease the target language. During the first class, I will introduce the course and after that, we will start our class with some icebreakers to introduce ourselves in Spanish. Afterwards, students will express their likes and dislikes using the present tense. Students will learn how to be more fluent in Spanish throughout a variety of vocabulary and useful phrases related to different topics, such as likes/dislikes, travelling, hobbies, interests, games, holidays, seasons and sports, places in town and opinions. We will study the present perfect, past and future tenses. We will do a revision every week to make sure their knowledge is consolidated. This course is designed for levels A2- B1 students. Students should know how to introduce themselves, they can interact with others making questions in Spanish and answering them. Lastly, they can describe places in town. There is no homework. Students will be evaluated throughout speaking activities and fun quizzes. If the schedule does not suit you, please do not hesitate to suggest a different time and I will amend accordingly.

I was born and raised in Chile and after being accepted to study a language programme in Boston, United States I followed my dream of becoming a teacher.
I have over 18 years of teaching work experience where I have worked with all different age groups and levels from beginner to advanced levels.
Moreover, I have taught one-to-one as well as groups and well-known corporations in the United States, France, Chile and at present in the United Kingdom. I have also created and implemented immersion language programmes for adults and children where I have always implemented interactive and ludic teaching methods including ICT, such as games, role-plays, and real-life situations.
Moreover, I have recently worked as an author for a publishing company where I have created educational contents for different English books.
I have a passion for teaching. I am a highly energetic, creative, resourceful, dynamic and an engaging teacher and I would love to continue sharing my wide teaching experience with students who can value my skills.
