In this class, students will learn about idioms. Class is structured as a slideshow, but also, using screen share, we will access other sites for review, games and videos. Student will have the opportunity to create a project or drawing depicting idioms as well. Class time will be divided as follows: 15 minutes- Introduction to idioms 5-10 minutes - Group matching game 15-20 minutes - Project time 5 minutes - Review Video Project time consists of students drawing silly idiom pictures and pictures of the actual meaning. Students will have the opportunity to share and interact with other students during this class. I love to have fun while teaching!

No other websites that require sign up. Other websites will be seen thorugh screenshare only. *****Students should bring a blank paper, pencil and coloring materials.

Hello Everyone!
I am a Special Education teacher who prides herself on making learning fun. I have 10+ years experience teaching elementary and middle school, specifically working with struggling learners. I am certified in Orton Gillingham Reading and have been trained in Wilson Reading and Lindamood Bell, as well as various math intervention programs. I believe it is extremely important to get to know your students and differentiate learning accordingly. Not all students learn the same way and if they are not understanding something, it is my job to try and teach it in a way they will understand! I like to have fun while learning and encourage students to do their best.
To tell you a little more about me, I am a crazy dog lady , with 2 dogs and 3 cats. I love being outdoors, traveling, and problem solving. I do some dog training in my spare time. So basically I love teaching, whether dogs or children. :) Teaching new skills is just my thing!
