Materials Needed: ✔️ Computer (Windows Preferred, but Macintosh would also work. Doesn't work on Chromebook.) ✔️ *Full* Version of Clickteam Fusion or Games Factory (Students won't be able to make a full interactive story game with the free version of Clickteam Fusion.) * If you have Windows, you can also get the full version of "Games Factory" for free, which is an old abandonware version. It looks just like Clickteam, but is missing some new features that the full version of Clickteam has. Here is a link to the download: * The Full Paid Version of Clickteam Fusion can be found here: "Clickteam Fusion" Mac System Requirements: OSX 10.9 (Mavericks) to 10.14 (Mojave) MacOS 10.15 (Catalina) is NOT supported as this is a 32-bit application and Apple have removed support for 32-bit. Clickteam recommends macOS Sierra or above - It might be a good idea to ttry the free version first to ensure it runs on your system. An internet connection is required for installation, updates and to download the software. 🎈 Kids Coding Templates - These will be available to download when you sign up for the class. ⚠️ Please make sure Clickteam Fusion is installed prior to class. If you have any difficulties with the installation, feel free to message me. ✔️ Optional Example Interactive Fiction Gamebooks to read. (Here is a list of titles: ) ✔️ Here are some optional free online Gamebooks that you play on the computer:
The learner's progress and comprehension skills are observed through informal assessment, in observation of their drawing activities.
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
