Dear Parents and Young Readers,

Are you ready to embark on a magical journey through the world of storytelling and imagination? Join us each week for our exciting Book Club Social Club, where we dive into a new featured storybook filled with adventure, laughter, and valuable life lessons.

We will spend 30 min reading a discussing a given text. We will focus on comprehension of the text and recalling information. For beginner readers we will focus on decoding and phonic skills. ESL is welcome!

What is my teaching style?
I like to keep things fun and engaging through asking the students questions and promoting discussion on the topic. I set behavior expectations while making sure students are all respected and spoken to kindly. I want students to feel like they can ask and answer questions without fear of failure or rejection.

Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, we have 3 new books to read and disccuss in one of these book selections:

Parental Guidance
Miss Marie wants to make sure each child feels seen and heard. There is several times kids will be required to Mute and Unmute during this class. Parents please plan to stay nearby (in the same room) as your learner to assist with adjusting camera angles or unmuting if needed. * Parents / Adults please also note that Outschool requires teachers to only admit students on Zoom that have the enrolled students name showing as part of their internet safety guidelines put in place to protect your child while participating in online group classes. Miss Marie takes internet safety very seriously and will not permit an unknown person into the virtual classroom with other children if she has no clear indication of who the child is. * More information on Outschool's Internet Safety Guidelines and policies can be found on the Outschool website. Supply List
- A printed worksheet that has been sent before this class.
- A pencil and any coloring materials you prefer.
- A bottle of water in case they get thirsty from all the chatting/singing/dancing.
- Comfy clothes are highly encouraged.
