What will be taught? Students will be taught about influential women of color from history and current times. How is your class structured? Students will be able to discuss influential black women from history.
I am a black woman and have taught black history (going back to before American History) over the years of my elementary school teaching. It is important to me that students get history dated from before slavery as well as current influential leaders in our society.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
