This is a private ongoing 1:1 class that will focus on your learner's needs and help prepare them for kindergarten. For our first meeting, I will do a simple assessment to determine where your child is at and how I can prepare lessons to best support their needs for upcoming lessons. Lots of colorful images and activities will be utilized to make classes (not only) informative but fun. Please message me before class, so we can discuss if there is anything your learner would specifically like to work on and how I can make the class as rewarding as possible. 

Topics we may explore and/or review during classes include: 
1. Letter names and their sounds
2. Numbers and counting skills
3. Building sentences
4. Reading and writing simple sentences
5. Speaking and listening skills
6. Comprehension skills
7. How to compare and contrast
8. Social skills
9. Following directions 
10. Common high frequency sight words

We will generally focus on 1-3 skills per session. I strive to make each lesson fun, interactive and engaging through google slides and powerpoint presentations. We may even listen to a song or two!  

My approach with young learners is very patient and kind. I emphasize positive reinforcement as much as possible and let the students know that their hard work is paying off.  Throughout the class, students receive lots of praise—words like "Good work! You're doing great! Excellent job!"—to keep them motivated and confident in their progress.
