Fostering independence in the kitchen is a necessary skill as teens grow older. Both cooking and baking help create and encourage a multitude of skills, from precision to creativity. Each week we will go through basic baking skills as we prepare easy treats for teens. This class is highly interactive and very hands on. Grades and completion certificate will be provided by request. In order to receive grades and completion certificate, the learner must submit final photos to show assignments are completed.
Recipe cards will be available the Friday prior to class to ensure that all necessitates are ready for our class. You are welcome to print out the cards so that students can have a stack of recipes to have available whenever they so need.
Parental Guidance may be needed for use of oven, cutting ingredients and mixers. If dietary restrictions such as allergies, veganism, or celiac disease are present, please feel free to message me and I will make adjustments in instruction during class. Recipe cards with variations will be available each week in the classroom.
