The class will give students the opportunity to put into practice the key concepts learned in Immersive French 1-4 with a focus on reading, comprehension and developing listening skills in French. This course will be offered approximately twice per year or upon request to learners who meet the course requirements. Throughout the course, learners will be encouraged to practice reading various stories (within the assigned text) both independently and orally in class to develop their confidence reading and interpreting the content. Learners will be encouraged to practice speaking in class to express their thoughts or opinions on the text. There will also be the opportunity to practice grammar and writing. Each class will focus on a story from the text for 2-3 lessons where learners will practice, reading the story independently, listening and re-reading the text. For each story, students will have the chance to ask questions to determine their understanding of the material while also practicing to formulate a reply in French and having discussions with their fellow learners about the content. The grammar for Immersive French 5 will be taught interactively as it pertains to each story and text and also in formal lessons with the opportunity to practice in writing and orally. Learning Goals
Students will learn the French essentials as a developing learner and build weekly skills and confidence in French independently and orally for pronunciation and comprehension. Students will learn and practice reading full text including stories and current affairs.

I eventually pursued my Honours Bachelor's degree in French Studies and Communications. I have spoken French for over 25 years. I am fully bilingual and have tutored all ages -- from children to adults. I also hold my TESOL certification.
My experience is varied and allows me to bring well-rounded perspective from sports and fitness, hospitality, broadcast media, non-profit and healthcare. I will bring this perspective to my lessons to help students apply and learn new things.
