This class is for students who are in need to practice their conversational Russian and meet new Russian speaking friends. Learn the language using the immersion technique. Just exposure to listening and speaking using visuals and questions. This class is for Elementary Level - Early Intermediate levels only. If you learner is not able to have a short conversation in Russian, please see my other class listings for the Beginner class. In this class we will try to speak as little English as possible. We will not be following a textbook, rather we will learn Russian fast and naturally. Russian is widely believed to be one of the most difficult languages to learn. Despite that, I truly believe that your learner too can speak and understand Russian. The goal is to find the learning technique that will work for your child. Books or textbooks can be useful in learning the theory. But if you want to speak, you need to practice, practice and practice again. I invite you to try this class, in which we will practice, make mistakes and learn together using the immersion technique. Note: There will be no Worksheets shared with the learners and no formal homework. Learners are encourages to take notes during the class and practice speaking outside of the class if they would like. Class Structure: - students' introduction and class rules reviews (only new students can introduce themselves in English) - introduction of new words/expressions (learners are asked to repeat each word and are encouraged to take notes if they would like) - discussion of different topics or pictures, answering and asking questions to other learners in the class, creating a conversation, occasionally playing games (depending on the topic). Class Rules: - There will be as little English spoken in the class as possible - I will help the students find the right word(s) and do some corrections, however we will not be going in details of grammar or lengthy explanations. Some of the topics discussed in this class will include: Week of September 23 → Let's talk about hobbies! Week of September 30 → Favorite foods? Week of October 7 ⇢ Where would you like to travel to? Week of October 21 ⇢ Do you love or hate homework? Week of October 28 ⇢ Your favorite pets and animals (learners' request) Week of November 4 ⇢ All about you: Where are you from? How old are you? etc... (learners' request) Week of November 11 ⇢ Your favorite sports to watch or play (learners' request) Week of November 18 ⇢ Ordering at a restaurant (learners' request) Week of November 25 ⇢ Ordering at a restaurant: Traditional Russian dishes (learners' request) What topic would your learner like to talk about? Join us and let us know.:) Prerequisites: Learners are expected to know the Russian alphabet, be able to read and type in Russian and be able to have a short conversation in Russian. If your learner is a beginner, please consider joining our beginner group class. If you are not sure about your learner's level, please consider enrolling in a private class.

Certified Yoga Teacher:
I have been practicing asana for over 10 years. Realizing the effect that my practice had on me both mentally and physically, I was pulled to learn more about yoga. Having completed the 200hr YYT with We Are One Teacher Training in Reno, I started teaching both online and in person in individual settings and small groups. It is very empowering and motivational to see the students realize the impact that yoga can have on them. Because we all can use a little bit of yoga...
There are no judgments in my classes, and no previous experience is required. Starting practicing yoga is never too early and it is never too late. Also, there is no better day then today!
