🖌️ This ongoing art club is for those who love art and wish to advance their drawing and watercolor painting skills while being creative. We will create a new work of art in each session so you may join in at any time. 🖌️ Hone your skills by creating art consistently with repeated practice. I will guide you through techniques that will be relevant to what subject matter has been chosen for our weekly classes, this can be driven by the learner’s suggestions. 🖌️ We will start off class with a quick chat about the theme of the week and allow you to share what you know or like about it. Creativity is encouraged as I demonstrate the steps to draw and paint throughout the session. Then what can you do to add your own personal touch? Give it character and begin developing your artistic style! We will spend the last few minutes of class spotlighting the artwork of anyone willing to share. Learner participation is encouraged but if you prefer not to share it is not forced, I want you to come to a class where you feel comfortable expressing yourself! Subject Matter is scheduled based on student suggestions and we rotate through the 3 major genres: 👥 Portraiture 🗻 Landscape 💐 Still Life Suggested Themes: Animals - wild animals from around the world, pets, fish, birds, lizards, etc. Fantasy Creatures - dragons, mermaids, unicorns, fairies, etc. People - portraiture, figures in motion, caricatures, cartoons, etc. Landscapes, Cityscapes, or Seascapes - different seasons and weather effects Still Life - flowers, fruit, equipment used for your hobbies, etc. Weekly Topics: Week of October 1: Portraiture Week of October 8: Still Life Week of October 15: Landscape Week of October 22: Animals Week of October 29: Portraiture Week of November 5: Still Life Week of November 12: Landscape Week of November 19: Animals Week of November 26: Portraiture Week of December 3: Still Life Week of December 10: Landscape Week of December 17: Animals
