Beginner - Intermediate Level
This course is ideal for students who need an editor for their IEW papers. Live meetings are optional. Learners must submit their IEW rough drafts and checklists to me at least two days before the meeting. Students must include the book and lesson number from which they are working. Checklists are required. Rough drafts must be typed and completed as much as possible. They must also have dress-ups and sentence openers labeled. Students needing writing help to complete a rough draft should enroll in the following class: https://outschool.com/classes/iew-homework-help-writing-jTGFk2H0?refuid=p4djg6Om I will return rough drafts and checklists within two business days or by the meeting date. Returned essays include specific information students must correct for their final draft. Papers are edited according to the accompanying checklist. Students receive detailed feedback in writing and in the live meeting. Feedback may include grammar, word order, vocabulary, sentence structure, and ideas for strong dress-ups and sentence openers. Class time is spent reviewing the overall essay, including grammar if needed, necessary edits, and brainstorming ideas for vocabulary, dress-ups, and sentence openers. Once necessary edits are made, students may resubmit their essays for a final check.
