Description

Class Experience

Receive a crash course introduction or review to the IEW method and techniques in order to better prepare for a more indepth course in the fall. 

Week 1 - Units 1 & 2 - How to make an outline and writing from an outline.  Learn the first 3 dress-ups. (ly adverb, strong verb, who/which clause)
Week 2 - Unit 3 - Story Sequence Chart:  Rewriting/Summarizing a short story from an outline.  Learn the last 3 dress-ups. (quality adjective, because clause, www.asia clause)

We have been using IEW in our homeschool for 8+ years and I am a true believer in the method.  As a registered instructor, I would like to help other children learn the joy and ease of writing using IEW.  I teach from IEW texts as well as my own designed courses, such as this one.

Each week writing assignments of 1-3 paragraphs will be made and will be do the following class day.

Paper, pencil/pen, pocket folder or notebook to organize handouts.

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:Google Classroom

55 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
