In this one time self esteem building class, I will read the book "I like Myself" from Karen Beaumont. Learners will be encouraged to think positive. They will practice mindfulness while they think about what they like about themselves.
Class experience
For a limited time with permission, I will enthusiastically read the book "I Like Myself" by Karen Beaumont. This is self-esteem building, and reinforcing type of class. We will focus on having a positive mindset. I will ask students what they like about themselves. There are no wrong answers. They can name physical characteristics or mention their strengths. Students will learn and be encourage to think about themselves in a positive way. This serves as a building block for having a positive mindset and self esteem.
I have a Master's of Social Work degree with a concentration in Community Organizing. I have a Bachelors of Science degree with a major in Human Development and Family Studies. I hold certificates in child youth and family services, diversity, leadership, and conflict resolution. My nieces, nephews, and 4 year old daughter love it when I act out different stories. I have over 5 years paid experience working with children in person and online.
