Happy Learning! Sarah This one-time class introduces young students to a popular branch of anthropology: archaeology. Students will understand what archaeologists study and do not study. Students will be inspired by a story of archaeological discovery. Students will know about one famous archaeologist and his contribution to the field. The course uses slides, online activities and games (through Nearpod), discussion questions and custom pre-recorded video clips to create an interactive experience. Schedule: - Introduction - Introductory Discussion - Students will learn: What is Archaeology? What do Archaeologists study? - Comprehension Activities - Archaeological Discovery Story Time - Biographical Review of an Archaeologist - Discuss the story, famous archaeologist and his contributions - Review: Race to the top game No prior experience or knowledge required.

Teacher expertise and credentials
History is one of my favorite subjects! I have a Bachelor of Arts in history from Miami University where I graduated with honors with distinction. After I graduated from college, I worked at a Museum with extensive collections (including a mummy), as well as an archaeological site. I have tutored group, one-on-one, and online classes for three years. I am also a home educator for my own children.
